不必出國也能一睹世界之最！金門縣林務所九月三十日、十月一日辦理台灣昆蟲生態與保育研習活動，將介紹「金氏世界紀錄特展」，四十餘箱世界級的昆蟲標本，由嘉大昆蟲館館長葉永福護送抵金，有「世界上第一張的蝴蝶郵票」、「世界上賣過最貴的蝴蝶」、「台灣最大的甲蟲」、「台灣最大的蝴蝶」等，兩場研習特別增額二十人，歡迎有興趣的民眾報名，洽詢電話331814，蔡小姐。
金門縣林務所預訂於九月三十日、十月一日，舉辦兩場次「一百年度台灣昆蟲生態與保育研習活動」，讓喜歡昆蟲的民眾，能瞭解地區昆蟲的多樣性；並且在嘉義大學的協助下，將於活動中規劃一堂課，介紹世界級的昆蟲標本，讓民眾不出門也能一睹自世界各地收蒐而來的珍品。
林務所表示，四十餘箱世界之最昆蟲標本，難得公開展覽，由於歷經多年收蒐而成且十分珍貴，上星期由嘉義大學昆蟲館館長葉永福，親自運送抵金，首次飄洋過海到金門，配合「一百年度台灣昆蟲生態與保育研習活動」展出，並且在葉永福的請託下，兩場各增額二十人，敬請喜歡昆蟲的民眾儘速報名。
葉永福表示，由於標本的價值和特殊性，顯少在台灣公開展覽，當金門縣林務所提出參展邀約時，掙扎考慮許久，經多次協商和聯繫發現，二十年前服役的地點284師砲兵1135營第一連，即是由林務所管理的金門植物園苗圃連前身，基於回饋與感念心情，特別讓這些珍貴標本，跨海到金門展出，也讓他自己在闊別二十年後再次踏上金門，心情相當興奮。
至於鄉親怎麼欣賞世界級的昆蟲標本，葉永福指出，金氏世界紀錄特展，有「台灣最大的甲蟲」、「台灣最大的蝴蝶」、「世界最大的蛾」、「世界上飛最遠的蝴蝶」、「世界上最像樂器的蟲」、「世界上最美的天然寶石」、「世界上賣過最貴的蝴蝶」及「世界上第一張蝴蝶郵票」等四十餘箱標本。
其中，特別推薦玉帶摩爾佛蝶，牠被譽為世界上最美麗的蝴蝶，尤其翅面猶如藍色的天空鑲嵌一串亮麗的光環，因其亞種名Helena是用希臘神話的光明女神海蓮娜命名，象徵能給人間帶來光明。而牠曾在美國的索斯比拍賣會上創下高達三萬多美元的拍賣價，折合台幣近一百萬元。現為祕魯國蝶，數量極少，十分珍貴，因取得不易，成為蝴蝶收藏愛好者心中的瑰寶。
