金門，台灣最接近中國的前線島嶼。十二歲的金門男孩，因為中國砲擊而流離失所，只能輟學離家成為照相學徒，出師後的他，為千千萬萬個守衛金門的軍人，拍下青春正盛的紀念照；二十五歲的台灣男人，因為退伍前的無心之過，被派駐到前線，在軍營裡邂逅未婚妻，最終在此落地生根三十年；二十歲的中國女孩，懷抱台灣夢，憑媒妁之言嫁到金門，在丈夫的家鄉，她穿起台灣軍服，日日表演砲擊中國的戲碼…

　Kinmen, the closest foreign island to China. The 12-year-old Kinmen boy, who was displaced by Chinese shelling, had to drop out of school and leave home to become a photo apprentice. After finishing his apprenticeship, he took commemorative photos of thousands of soldiers guarding Kinmen. The 25-year-old Taiwan army officer was sent to the frontline because of his unintentional mistakes before he retired. He met his fiancée in Kinmen and finally took root here for thirty years.
